Zora | Colourful Formica and Wood Statement Earrings

Zora are named after the first piece of light in the morning. Cream, bright orange and hot pink are composed together in an elegant, yet playful shape that is both quiet and a little bit loud.

These earrings are cut from Formica and wood, so they weigh almost nothing and you can wear them from morning to night. Each pair is handmade in my studio at Ardgillan Castle in Dublin.

I also work in sculpture, and these earrings begin as the offcuts from larger projects that could otherwise be thrown out. So every pair is a small piece of a bigger artwork. Because I can only use the colours that are left over from my sculptures, each design is made in very small numbers.

Care
Wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Keep away from prolonged water, and store flat or hanging when not in use to protect the wood and laminate.
