Radost Earrings | Stacked Formica Statement Earrings

Radost means joy. These earrings stack three shapes: a bright red block at the top, a deep green arch in the middle and a longer shape in soft grey blue at the bottom. The red is the loudest part, and the green and grey bring it down to something calmer.

They are cut from Formica and wood and are light enough to forget you are wearing them. The two earrings mirror each othe and you can wear them either way. I make every pair by hand in my studio at Ardgillan Castle in Dublin. The material is offcuts from my larger sculptural work, so each pair is a small leftover of a bigger artwork, and I only have enough of each colour to make small amounts.

Care
