Iki | Colourful Formica and Wood Statement Earrings

These bold, colourful statement earrings are made from Formica and wood. They are incredibly lightweight, comfortable enough for a full day, bold enough for a night out. Each pair is handmade in my studio at Ardgillan Castle in Dublin, Ireland.

About these earrings

Iki is the Japanese word for effortless, understated style. The mix of bright and muted is my signature palette. I make large sculptural pieces from Formica and wood, and these earrings are cut from the offcuts left over. Nothing goes to waste, and each pair is a small piece of a bigger project. Colours are limited by what the offcuts allow, so I only make a small number of each design.

Care
Wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Keep away from prolonged water, and store flat or hanging when not in use to protect the wood and laminate.
